The new headquarters of the medical technology group Olympus in Hamburg's Hammerbrook district was designed by the architects Gerkan, Marg und Partner (gmp) from Hamburg; the new building was realised by the Zech Group.
The aim was to create a state-of-the-art and sustainably built working environment that is geared towards activity-based working and promotes flexible and hybrid collaboration.
The glazed building envelope with an area of almost 16,000 m2 is divided into windows as stacked facades and mullion and transom facades.
