Horse Continental, Hanover

New Continental headquarters

The DAX company is located with its new main administration building on both sides of the Hans-Böckler-Allee and thus characterises the eastern entrance to Hanover. The new building is a symbol of the long-term future of the traditional company and sets appropriate structural accents for the cosmopolitan trade fair city.

Glass and steel play the main role in the construction. The most noticeable part is a bridge that connects the two halves of the headquarters. The eight interconnected, three- to four-storey buildings form a Continental campus that offers space for 1,250 employees. The new head office relies on openness and networking, agile and flexible teamwork and communication across departmental boundaries. It offers a variety of spaces for meetings, conferences, a cafeteria and informal workspaces. Park-like outdoor facilities, a health centre and a company-owned daycare centre are further components in the new headquarters for a healthy balance between working hours and leisure time for employees.
