To the north of Berlin's main railway station, former Deutsche Bahn commercial sites are being developed for urban development under the title "Europacity". The southern part of this development area, called "Kunst-Campus Berlin", is being designed by private investors
This development area is bordered to the south by the Hamburger Bahnhof museum building and to the east by the Berlin-Spandauer-Schifffahrts-Kanal. To the north, the planned Döberitzer Grünzug adjoins as a green space. To the west, an access road will be built in front of the Rieckhallen, parallel to Heidestraße. On the Kunst-Campus Berlin, the investor projects of Edel AG (formerly), the Groth Group and Ernst Basler & Partner AG run along the Berlin-Spandauer-Schifffahrts-Kanal from north to south.
Architectural aspiration:
Against the urban context of the historic canal with its representative buildings, the building should on the one hand pick up on the urban atmosphere and on the other hand form a self-confident accent. At the same time, the client presents itself with its engineering competence by means of a sophisticated fair-faced concrete facade with an unusual type of construction. The exposed concrete facade as a self-supporting monolithic mullion and transom facade will have a different depth of relief on each side of the facade, which will redefine the spatial perception depending on where the viewer is standing.

Requirements
Burglar-resistant facade and door elements, smoke protection, fire protection, EI30, fall protection, glazing according to high protection class
Products
MULTITHERM roof construction as gable roof construction, main entrance as steel MULTITHERM facade with Forster insert elements as special construction, windbreak element as Forster special construction, Schueco mullion/transom facade constructions on the ground floor.
The facade of the upper floors is inserted as an element façade into the air gap between the primary construction and the fair-faced concrete facade by means of guide aids. The assembly is carried out from the ground floor level up to the 1st floor. This type of construction requires compliance with the increased structural tolerances in the primary construction and on the SB facade. The glass proportion of the total facade is approx. 42 %. The profile system of the element facade is Sokaltherm special profiles
Technical centre on the roof as a steel construction with thermally insulated, decorative wall cladding and thermally insulated trapezoidal sheet metal roof construction, F30 all-glass walls as interior walls to the atrium with TRAV requirements.
