On Friday, September 16th, the time had come: under the title "SOMMERfest of apprenticeship" we welcomed interested parties to Döhlau to present our training area to them.
There was a lot to see and do: WICONA from Ulm - a profile manufacturer for windows, doors and facades and one of our partner companies - showed the current state of door and window technology with two show containers and invited the SOMMER apprentices to a challenge with high-quality prizes. The Upper Franconian Chamber of Crafts came up with two VR welding simulators that could revolutionise welding training. The highlight of the event was our new training workshop: equipped with the latest machine tools and a theory and recreation area, it attracted a great deal of visitors' interest.
Young visitors and their parents were able to get an impression of our company during factory tours.
A programme with music and catering turned the event into a real celebration. After years of event cancellations due to the pandemic, our employees were finally able to celebrate a staff party again. Of course, Covid-19 rules of conduct were considered and disinfectant dispensers provided.
Food and drink awaited the guests in Hall G on our factory premises and a DJ provided the musical accompaniment. There was a specially prepared soccer and basketball court for the children. Despite the cold weather and a few rain showers, the employees, their families and interested parties were not deterred. About 450 people enjoyed the evening with talks and dances.
