Diverse opportunities for young talents: SOMMER presents training opportunities at the "Long Night of Training"

On May 3, 2024, the first "Long Night of Apprenticeships" took place in Hof and the surrounding area, an initiative designed to give schoolchildren and their parents an understanding of the variety of apprenticeships in the region.

From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., visitors had the opportunity to find out about various training paths here in Döhlau/Hof.

Technical system planner, construction mechanic, electronics technician, cutting machine operator - visitors to the "Long Night of Training" on Friday evening were able to find out more about these and many other training professions. In addition to exciting insights into light metal construction and special construction, all the details of our apprenticeships were presented to those interested.

"Everyone involved put an incredible amount of effort into explaining the training opportunities to those interested and convincing them about SOMMER," said Michael Böhm, Head of Training and Further Education. "Although we would have liked more participants, we are not discouraged by this and will continue to find new ways to attract young people to train at SOMMER."
