The annual Girls' Day took place on Thursday, April 27th, 2023. SOMMER participated, too, and so 25 students and two teachers from the Frankenwald Naila middle school were invited to the company.
At 8:30 a.m. the bus with the visitors arrived at the company premises. The participants were given a tour through the production halls and marveled at the new training workshop where they subsequently crafted airplanes and cubes out of sheet metal under the guidance of our apprentices. The event offered schoolgirls an insight into the technical profession of 'construction mechanic'.
SOMMER's goal is to further expand cooperation with schools and school authorities in the city and district of Hof and to strengthen interest in craftsmanship. We look forward to further cooperation!
