SOMMER at the company cup: great performance and lots of fun

Hof, 10 June 2024 - Last Saturday, we took part in the first Frankenpost company cup in Hof. With a dedicated team led by Peter Singer, the SOMMER employees showed off their footballing skills and made it into the top 8 teams.

A total of 17 teams competed in four groups on two small pitches to win the tournament. We got off to a strong start in the preliminary round and recorded two wins, one draw and one defeat. Unfortunately, we were knocked out in the quarter-finals after losing 2-0 to the eventual tournament winners Mävo International.

Despite the defeat in the quarter-finals, the team's participation in the Frankenpost Firmencup was a complete success. The players showed commitment, passion and team spirit and enjoyed the game immensely.

‘We sold ourselves dearly today and showed that we are a strong team,’ summarised Peter Singer, coach of the summer team. ‘Taking part in the tournament was a great experience for us and we're already looking forward to next year when we can attack again.’
