During the Covid 19 pandemic, it became apparent that high-tech industries are far more resilient in crises than their low-tech counterparts. We, too, were able to weather the crisis well thanks to our development competence and innovative strength. In addition, we are securing our future through medium- and long-term corporate planning based on risk-conscious action and value-added activities.

As a technology-oriented company, we know that education and research are the engines of innovation. That is why we place a special focus on in-company training and promote the further education of our employees at all levels.

From the multitude of our self-developed and self-produced systems and components, we create clever combinations that combine all aspects of modern façade constructions, building safety and security as individual solutions. This problem-solving competence is decisive for our strong position in the international project business.

Sommer meets the highest quality assurance standards for products and services, especially when they are intended for critical infrastructure, and acts proactively to prevent the intrusion of counterfeit, fraudulent or suspect items (CFSI) into safety-critical equipment, components, systems and structures. Therefore Sommer routinely cooperates with governmental and international organisations, industry partners (including customers, subcontractors and suppliers), industry and trade associations (nuclear and industrial) and academia to stay abreast of CFSI issues.
