For the first time, SOMMER presented itself at the BAU in Munich. The fair presented innovative solutions around the building envelope. You could see what project competence can look like – from the accompanying engineering through in-house product development to acceptance. Exhibits/ products helped to proof how it is possible to combine partly very contradictory demands in design and security. The intrusion-resistant, 3.5 m high tubular frame door in an all-glass appearance with fully concealed hinges was one of more than 500 security doors installed in the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi. Noteworthy were the complexity and uniqueness of the products developed and tested for this particular field of application. The MULTITHERM® facade in bronze, SOKALTHERM® windows and FU SLIDE sliding doors protect the New Oslo National Museum from unauthorized access. In close cooperation with the architects, tailor-made solutions for the building envelope of the New National Museum were developed.
It was the right decision for SOMMER to participate in the world’s leading trade fair. We were able to win new potential customers. In addition, existing customers were among the visitors. Furthermore, many international clients working in the architectural sector had come to Munich. SOMMER was very satisfied with the interests the visitors had when they came to our stand. We were able to inform interested parties about our current products and innovations in the field of “building security”. We look forward to participating again at BAU as an exhibitor in two years’ time.
